Panels

Panels lets you create views that each contain a number of virtual stations. Each virtual station in a panel shows real-time data. The main units that are displayed:

Torque

The default torque unit is Nm, which can be changed for controllers that are added to ToolsControl Portal, under Controllers > Default settings > Torque unit.

Angle

The unit is displayed in degrees [°].

To see all panels, select the Panels menu.

Creating a Panel

To create a panel:

  1. Select Create

    The Create Panel view appears.

  2. Enter a Name for your panel. Use a maximum of 32 characters.

  3. From the Grid dropdown list, choose the number of panels you want. The first value represents the number of rows, the second value represents the number of columns. The number of panels can not be changed after a panel is created.

    Example: choose 2x3 to create a panel that consists of two rows and three columns.

  4. Select Create.

    The panel opens in a view that allows you to make changes.

Opening a Panel

To open a panel, select Open.

Editing a Panel

To edit a panel, select Edit for the panel you want to edit or finish creating a panel. From this view, you can perform these tasks:

  • Edit the name of a panel: select Edit name.

  • Delete a panel: select Delete.

  • Add a panel: select Add Panel.

  • Open a panel: select .

Adding a Panel

  1. On a panel to which you want to add panels, select Edit.

  2. Select Add Panel.

    The Add Panel view appears.

  3. From the Controller dropdown list, select the controller that contains the virtual station that you want to add to your panel.

  4. From the Virtual station dropdown list, select the virtual station that you want to add to your panel.

  5. Select Add.

    A new panel is added.

Deleting a Panel

On a panel that you want to delete, select Delete and confirm that you want to delete the panel.
