As my curriculum vitae shows, I've worked in the IT industry for 25 years. From IT support jobs to working as a network administrator, from building Microsoft networks for thousands of people to training them in how to use different types of software, from managing software projects to implementing a finished product, I then entered the world of technical writing. As I started publishing e-learning videos and writing knowledge bases for different audiences, I discovered my passion for writing for users. I've always been interested in teaching and helping users; technical writing lets use and combine all of my IT skills to ultimately help people, and I really love doing just that.
About me
Background
UX writing is very different from technical writing. For UX writing, I often write as briefly as possible while making sure the user has all they need to achieve their goals as quickly as possible. I make sure that all products that I handle look and feel consistent. I work with all types of stakeholders: UX designers, product owners, developers, and users. I've worked not only for companies where I've been employed, but also together with their partners and clients to make sure that cross–product integrations appear seamlessly to the user. User research drives all of my work as I know that I'm not the user.
Before starting to work in the IT industry, I worked as a DJ, a music reviewer, a secretary, a cleaner, a dishwasher, and an all–in–one at a couple of restaurants. I met a lot of different individuals from across the globe, which taught me how to speak with different people in different ways.
In my spare time, I enjoy to read and review books, listen to music, watch films, and hang out with my wife and friends.
